Kritters I've Known
Me N Dolly

May 5, 1999
Unfortunately,
I was forced to sell Dolly
in order to buy my van to leave Hornbrook, CA. when my Net Romance didn't work out and I was asked to leave.
This is me with DOLLY.
I Took the picture with timer on camera.
Dolly is a Lesser Sulphur Crested Cockatoo.
She was "too wild to tame" according to her previous owner!

I used her at childrens parties for years and she LOVES for ANYBODY to pet her!

She's extremely Possessive of me and very jealous when I talk on the phone!
Guess she figures I should be talking to her instead!
She also demands attention when I'm on the computer!
So most of these pages have been typed one handed while the other was busy giving DOLLY "Head Noogies"!

Regretably, I also had to sell
Golem

Golem
This is Golem ,
my 11 ft (and STILL GROWING!!) Albino Burmese Python.
At the time This Picture was taken (1999) he was 5-6 years old.

He was only 14 inches long when I got him at a few months of age.
He's extremely gentle.
Up until a year Before I moved to Northern California,
he accompanied me to childrens' Birthday Parties as part of my petting zoo.

MANY parents would totally FREAK OUT when they saw their 2, 3, 5-6 year old children sitting on the lawn, handling and holding part of him on their laps!
Yet, the only time ANY child showed fear were the few times one or both parents reacted so violently and fearful of him that they conveyed that fear to their child!
Otherwise, the kids LOVED him!
They would ask to hold him to have their pictures taken and many asked very mature and intelligent questions!

Wynona
Wynona,
the mule in this picture has proven to be one of the
(LITERALLY)
biggest challenges I've met in many years of equine-training.
She was 3, going on 4 years old; at last measurement she was over 16 hands and still growing!
She is extremely intelligent and very willing to learn, but true to her nature is stubborn enough to have a mind of her own!

And, as big and strong as she is, changing her mind is occasionally less than easy!

BlackMountain
These are some of the horses I rode, exercise, and trained at Black Mountain Ranch.

On the left is my ex-boss's wife on my Appaloosa Mare, Mariah.
In the middle is Cody, a Mustang gelding I trained.
On the right is Chablis, a 20+ year old Appaloosa mare that does EVERYTHING!
She's a GREAT Mountain and Trail Horse;
she's an experienced cattle and cutting horse
(has won several blue ribbons in competition);
has been trained for Polo,
and is gentle and well trained enough we can put children or inexperienced riders on her without fear she'll misbehave!

Speeding???
This is a picture that appeared on the front page of the Contra Costa Times 1988-89 years back.
I'm riding my Appaloosa mare Mariah
(Who passed away February, 1996 after 25 years of devoted love and companionship!)
with my "Assistant Trainer" Brutus. (Look Closely! He's peeking out from behind me on Mariah!)
He also passed away, but spent most of his 16 years riding ponies, donkeys, mules, mustangs, and other horses
(Including Bogart, a WORLD CHAMPION DRESSAGE LIPPAZON!!).
Alongside are Floyd and Shannon the first two ponies I purchased to use in my business.
Ya'all Come Back, Now! Ya Hear?
There will be pictures and stories about many of the interesting animals I've known!
